Karen was born in North Yorkshire but has lived in Buckinghamshire with her
husband and three children for many years.
She's loved writing since childhood and when she was eleven had a poem published in 'Judy' comic, which she dined out on for years before deciding she'd better move on and write something else.
After joining an online writing group, Karen began submitting short stories to women's magazines and has sold more than 300 in the UK and abroad.
She never let go of her dream to write a novel, inspired by some of her early favourite romantic comedy authors, and was thrilled to be approached by award-winning publisher Bookouture to write her popular BEACHSIDE series. Writing 3 novels in a year was a challenge, but one she enjoyed rising to and followed that series with the SEASHELL COVE novels set in Devon and her third features THE LITTLE FRENCH CAFE located in The Ile de Re, a beautiful region of France.
Three previous three romcoms, with a paranormal twist, can be downloaded from Amazon and are also available as audiobooks. Karen loves listening to books in the car and has been known to prolong a journey so she can listen for longer!
A recent step to the dark side saw Karen co-write a psychological thriller THE SECRET SISTER with fellow writer and friend Amanda Brittany which is available as an ebook, paperback or audiobook. Her first solo suspense novel YOUR LIFE FOR MINE is out now and she's currently working on a second, due for release in March 2021 and awaiting edits on a second thriller with Amanda which will be out in January 2021.

When she's not writing, Karen reads - A LOT - and somehow fits in plenty of film and TV watching, baking, and walking through the woods and fields around where she lives, which is excellent for plotting books (and working off the cake.)
